New Look Fashion Picks (SALE Too!)

After 4 attempts of filling my Shopping Cart on NewLook.com (I am so forgetful and easily distracted), I finally grabbed some pieces for my festival shopping – and some just for the sake of spending more money – check out some gorgeous pieces that New Look has to offer right now, always fabulous and fabulously cheap!

Aztec Pattern Back Pack @ £19.99

I have been looking absolutely everywhere for a reasonably cheap Aztec print bag – with the general consensus being around £45-£50, until I had a gander at the New Look website. If you fancy picking up one of these bags for yourself, you can get hold of the New Look version online for just £19.99 – or even less if you have a student ID number:

The bag is an absolute must-have if you’re planning on escaping to the wild fields of festivals this summer –  hence my purchase for Green Man and Leeds! It is just about big enough to shove a couple t-shirts and shorts into with some food and girly necessities, without looking like you’re going on a camping excursion for travellers – and with bang-on-trend Aztec print, you can’t really go wrong. If you fancy splashing the cash elsewhere on a similar bag, Urban Outfitters do a gorgeous one but I was a bit put off by the £48 price tag, for a bag that’s the same dimensions as this one!

Adorable Ankle Socks in Houndstooth, Horses and Aztec Patterns @ 3 for £4

If you’re anything like me,  you either have just given up on socks entirely and wear nothing but tights, or you walk around in a kooky array of mismatched, scruffy old socks – so these adorable three styles are here to bring a little pizazz to your underwear drawer. They will all look ace with a chunky heel sandal and clear tights/bare legs and a cute skater skirt. Socks and heels, to me, will be forever inspired by Cassie Ainsworth from the first Skins generation – major fashion icon for me. Not to mention, Houndstooth is EVERYWHERE at the moment – alongside Tartan, making a comeback.

SALE ALERT – Tan Feather Woven Cut Sandals @ £9.00 – were £24.99

If you’re blessed with pathetically tiny feet like myself, there are a few more of these cute little sandals left on the website in Size 3 only – so snap them up now. They are a complete bargain and I’m hoping the weather is decent at some stage so I can flaunt a bright pedi colour and team with Levi shorts and a floaty shirt – where are you sunshine? Rather depressing that it’s intermittently raining as I write this.

Mini Splurge – 2x Creepers in Black Brothel and Tartan @ £24.99 each.

I have been umm-ing and ahh-ing about purchasing any type of creepers for nearly a year now and, due to the occasional bit of stigma that they’re “emo” shoes, I’ve been a bit put off by Underground’s close-to-£100 prices. The shoes seem pretty damn good for a festival environment – they’re chunky, they’re a bit badass and the black style will jazz up any outfit, hangover optional. So, imagine my delight when I discovered New Look’s range of Creepers, in a surprisingly large range of styles – from Houndstooth (if you’re Size 6-7, order some now – I envy you) to the Tartan ones I got drawn in by. As I said, Tartan seems to be making its way back in – and, I mean, if Vogue have a spread on it in their latest addition, I think it’s safe to get your Scot on. Have a gander at these beauties:

The best thing about these is that, technically, you can get like 4 different styles of the New Look ones for the same price as one pair of Underground creepers – absolute bargain – and that’s what tempted me to buy two pairs.

I am seriously impressed with New Look lately – I kind of went off them for a good while, but they are always bang on trend and completely affordable. Don’t forget to flash your student card if you want your 10% off too – but remember, you can’t use a discount code on sale items, so watch your spending! Check out the sale yourself and I’ll hopefully be posting lots of pictures of these items once my delivery arrives! Shopping Trolley total: £75 – absolute bargain.
